The 2019 Shropshire Primary Schools Half Marathon in association with Shrewsbury Half Marathon is part of the Schools Half Marathon Challenge and will enable children to complete their very own cumulative half marathon on race weekend. The first 12 miles of this exciting challenge are completed at school and the final 1.1 miles are run at the Shropshire County Showground on Saturday 6th April 2019, starting at 9am.

Here children will get the full race experience including race bibs, a marshalled route, music and a start and finish line gantry, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of a big sporting event and to be cheered on by friends and family. As they cross the finish line they are presented with their well earned Half Marathon medal,

Friends, family and supporters are encouraged to join us at Shropshire Country Showground on Saturday 6th April  to cheer on our young runners!

The Shropshire Primary Schools Half Marathon takes place on Saturday 6th April 2019, starting at 9am. It is open to all children aged 4 to 11 years.  The event is limited to 1500 places and will be first come first served.

The Telford & Wrekin Primary Schools Half Marathon Challenge in association with UK Run Events takes place at at Oakengates Athletics Track, home of Telford Athletics Club, on Saturday 15th June 2019. A popular facility for local schools, Oakengates Athletics Track is the ideal venue for children across Telford & Wrekin to complete the final 1.1 mile of their Schools Half Marathon Challenge.

Here, children will get the full race experience including race bibs, a marshalled route around the track, music and a start and finish line gantry, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of a big sporting event and to be cheered on by friends and family. As they cross the finish line, they are presented with their well-earned Half Marathon medal.

The Telford & Wrekin Primary Schools Challenge is open to children aged 4 to 11 years. It is ideally timed to take place in the second half of the summer term, so children can complete the initial 12 miles of their challenge outdoors at school during the spring / summer terms being rewarded for their miles achieved at school. Capacity is limited and is based on a first-come, first-served basis, so reserve your school’s place now using the form on the right of this page.

The Brighton & Hove Primary Schools Half Marathon Challenge in association with UK Run Events takes place at Withdean Athletics Stadium on Saturday 22^nd June 2019. A popular facility for local schools, Withdean is the ideal venue for children across Brighton & Hove to complete the final 1.1 mile of their Schools Half Marathon Challenge.

Here, children will get the full race experience including race bibs, a marshalled route around the track, music and a start and finish line gantry, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of a big sporting event and to be cheered on by friends and family. As they cross the finish line, they are presented with their well-earned Half Marathon medal.

A popular facility for local schools and home to Stockport Harriers, Woodbank is the ideal venue for children across Stockport to complete the final 1.1 mile of their Schools Half Marathon Challenge.

Here, children will get the full race experience including race bibs, a marshalled route around the track, music and a start and finish line gantry, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of a big sporting event day and to be cheered on by friends and family.
